KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has reiterated that Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is in the interest of the nation.

He also clarified that the NC should not be afraid to speak about MCC.

Launching a book ‘A Brief History of the Nepali Congress (Introduction to Principles and Policy)’ written by Congress leader Arjun Narsingh KC on Thursday, Prime Minister Deuba said, “The Parliament should ratify MCC.”

Stating that he was trying to get the MCC ratified from the parliament, PM Deuba said the Compact has to be tabled in the parliament. “Let the Parliament decide,” he added.

“NC has decided to pass the MCC,” Deuba said adding, “I don’t know if it would be ratified or rejected.”
