Nepali Congress is adamant on ratifying MCC: NC Gen Sec Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary and lawmaker Gagan Thapa has made it clear that his party is adamant about passing the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Thursday, Thapa criticized the role of Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” for backtracking from his previous position on endorsing MCC.

“Nepali Congress does not express diverse views on an issue like Prachanda does,” Thapa said adding, “Prachanda speaks one thing in Baluwatar and another in Khumaltar.”
