Registration of parties for local polls kicks off



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has called on political parties for their registration for the upcoming local level elections from today.

According to a notice issued by the EC, the political parties have to get registered in the office of EC by February 27 starting today.

The local level elections will be held on May 13. Those parties willing to take part in the elections have to get registered within the given deadline.

Currently, as many as 103 political parties have been registered in the EC. They have to register their parties for taking part in the elections as per the provision.
