Two arrested with papers for printing fake currency from Jaleshwor outpost in Mahottari



KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) has arrested two persons from the border area of ​​Jaleshwor Municipality-3 in Mahottari district along with 33 bundles of paper used for making fake notes on Sunday.

The arrested have been identified as Asarak Mohammad Dhobi, 23, of Laxminiya Rural Muncipality-1 of Dhanusha and Mohammad Mujahid Reja. 26, of Janakpur Sub-Metropolis-6 of the same district.

APF personnel at border outpost Jaleshwor held them during a security screening as they were entering Nepal in a car. The security personnel recovered 600 pieces of paper meant for printing notes of Rs 1,000, 18,000 pieces for printing Rs 500 notes and 100 pieces for print Rs 100 notes from them.

Two Nepali notes of denomination Rs 1,000, two of Rs 500 and two of Rs 100 was also recovered.

The APF personnel handed over the arrested to Nepal Police for necessary action along with the recovered money, counterfeit note printing papers and car.
