Nepal sees nine new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of nine new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases, eight were detected through the RT-PCR method and one through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,620 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of the total samples, 991 were tested through RT-PCR method and 629 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 475 active cases in the country as 24 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,019 to date.
