Traffic Police take action against 1,407 drivers for various offences



KATHMANDU: The Traffic Police have taken action against 1,407 drivers on Saturday for flouting the traffic rules.

Among those facing action, 446 faced music for keeping unclear number plate and four for drunk driving.

Similarly, 155 drivers faced action for over speed, five for unnecessarily blowing horn, two motorcyclists for unusually high noise and 788 drivers for miscellaneous traffic offences.

The Traffic Police took action in course of a special traffic checking campaign conducted in Kathmandu Valley on Saturday, said Superintendent of Police Awadesh Bista Chhetri, joint spokesperson at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
