Birgunj Metropolis to provide 10,000 sacks of urea fertilizers



BIRGUNJ: The Birgunj Metropolitan City (BMC) has decided to provide 10,000 sacks of urea fertilizers to the farmers in Parsa.

Chief Administrative Officer at BMC, Laxmi Poudel, and Chief of Province Office of Agriculture Input Ltd, Chandra Prasad Chaulagain, signed a four-point agreement to this regard on Monday.

BMC Mayor Rajesh Man Singh made coordination for supplying the chemical fertilizers as per farmers’ demand.

Meanwhile, the farmers had seized six trucks of chemical fertilizers being ferried to other districts from the Province Office of Agriculture Inputs Ltd, Bhutandevi.

After the negotiation, the consignment was handed over to BMC.
