Lumbini province budget focuses on management of province capital in Deukhuri



LUMBINI: The annual budget of the Lumbini province government has put high priority on managing province capital as a pride project.

The budget has put forth a plan to accomplish the task of equipping the province capital and also shift the central level agencies of the province in Rupandehi to the permanent capital in coming fiscal year.

The province government has allocated Rs 750 million for transferring the Deukhuri-based Rapti Technical Institute to Saraswoti secondary school at Gadawa rural municipality for the management of province capital.

The budget will be spent for managing and developing the school as a model school.

Province Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Krishna Dhoj Khadka presented the budget.

The key priority of the budget this year is to manage capital in the Rapti valley at Deukhuri in Dang, Minister Khadka shared.

Other province pride projects incorporated in the budget are Lumbini Technical University, Butwal-based Lumbini Province Hospital and Palpa Rampur to Rolpa Patihalna road (Jinawang).

A bulk budget of Rs 169 billion has been earmarked for the implementation of province pride projects, Minster Khadka informed.
