Independent mayoral candidate Balen Shah leading with 5,665 votes in KMC



KATHMANDU: Balen Shah, an independent mayoral candidate for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, is leading the vote count with 5,665 votes.

CPN-UML’s mayoral candidate Keshav Sthapit is chasing Shah with 3,046 votes.

Similarly, Sirjana Singh of Nepali Congress, who represents the ruling alliance, has received 2,640 votes.

Similarly, Deputy Mayoral candidate of UML Sunita Dangol is leading with 5,844 votes.

Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist), who was nominated by the ruling coalition, got 1,609 votes.

A total of 14,611 votes have been counted so far.
