TANAHUN: Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality, Tanahun, has launched a major road upgrading initiative, using its own financial resources to blacktop the four-kilometer Samastipur–Giranchaur and Hilekharka–Baradi roads.
According to Rural Municipality Chairman Shukra Chuman, the blacktopping work will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the section from Jogini Bhanjyang to the Ward No. 6 office will be upgraded.
Similarly, the Giranchaur–Sarte section of the Hilekharka–Baradi road is set to be fully upgraded within the current fiscal year, supported by Rs 60 million allocated by the federal government.
