Bharatpur’s mayoral candidates Dahal and Subedi in dead heat



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML candidate Bijay Subedi has taken a slight lead in the mayoral election of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. He is 55 votes ahead of CPN-Maoist Center candidate Renu Dahal.

According to the latest results, Subedi has got 4,550 votes while Dahal has got 4,495 votes.

Earlier, Dahal was leading by a few votes. Similarly, Nepali Congress rebel candidate Jagannath Poudel has collected 1,998 votes.

Dahal is the common candidate of the alliance while UML’s Subedi is supported by Rastriya Prajatantra Party in Bharatpur metropolis.
