CWEC meeting of ruling NC underway in Sanepa

To finalize electoral candidates for metropolis, sub-metropolis



KATHMANDU: The Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) meeting of the ruling Nepali Congress is undergoing at its Sanepa based Central Office.

The ruling Nepali Congress is holding the CWEC meeting to discuss the issue of local elections.

According to NC Central party office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, the office-bearers and members of the CWEC have been called to attend today’s meeting.

In the local elections, the decision of the candidate for mayors and deputy mayors of the metropolis and sub-metropolis will be taken by the center.

He further said that the mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates of the metropolis and sub-metropolis are also on the agenda of today’s meeting.

Local level election is being held on May 13. The Election Commission has intensified preparations to this effect.

The Commission has set April 24 and 25 as the deadline for registration of candidates.
