Nepal sees 639 new coronavirus cases, three deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 639 new cases of coronavirus and three deaths in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

The coronavirus grip seems becoming weaker in the country as the number of new cases and active cases is declining everyday. Nepal recorded 680 new coronavirus cases and two deaths on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there are 162 cases in Kathmandu, 12 in Bhaktapur and 25 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 199 cases.

The Ministry informed that three coronavirus related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,905 to date.

Currently, there are 18,251 active cases in the country as 1,600 infected patients recovered.
