Will table MCC on Feb 18 by forging consensus: Law Minister Badu



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu has said that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) would be tabled in the House of Representatives on February 18 by forging political consensus.

Talking to journalists outside the Parliament building on Wednesday, Minister Badu said that the Compact would be tabled in the Parliament in the next two days.

“We did not table the MCC Compact today to forge political consensus. We will table in within two days,” he said.

Before the parliament meeting, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” held talks and agreed not to table MCC today.
