MUMBAI: Singer-composer Bappi Lahiri passed away on Wednesday at a Mumbai hospital. He was 69.
Lahiri had tested positive for Covid-19 in April last year, after which he was confined to full bed rest, India Today reported.
Lahiri was being treated for multiple illnesses. He was brought to the hospital after his health deteriorated last night and doctors tried to revive him but they couldn’t.
He was known for his songs in several films of the late 70s-80s. These included “Chalte Chalte”, “Disco Dancer”, and “Sharaabi”.
