Four-party alliance meeting to resolve problems of Arun III hydropower project affected people



KHANDBARI: A meeting of the four-party coalition in the incumbent government has decided to take initiatives to resolve the problems of those people affected by the Arun III Hydropower Project.

The meeting also decided to carry out a micro-study and monitor the under-construction structures and those to be constructed in Sankhuwasabha district, launch a campaign against irregularities and corruption and maintain good governance.

For this, a district-level political mechanism led by Dipak Khadka, President of a coalition partner, Nepali Congress, Sankhuwasabha has been formed.

Other members of the mechanism are Hem Raj Ghimire from the CPN (Unified Socialist), Krishna Gimi from the CPN (Maoist Centre) and Kawan Sen Rai from the Janata Samajwadi Party.
