Police arrest 10 in Surkhet with drugs

BIRENDRANAGAR: Police have arrested 10 people with drugs from Bulbule View Hotel in Surkhet.

A joint police team from Karnali State Police Office’s Narcotics Bureau and District Police Office Surkhet arrested 10 persons from the hotel along with 630 mg of brown sugar-like substance, four grams of cannabis, and 32 grams of marijuana.

Among the arrested are Yuvaraj Dhakal of Birendranagar Municipality-1, Surkhet, Kamal Dangi, Suman Khatri, Sujan Sharma, and Ranjit Khadka of Birendranagar Municipality-3, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Gharti.

Similarly, Deepak Thapa and Kshitij Shahi of Narayan Municipality-8, Dailekh, Sagar Chand, Dambar Khadka, and Jeevan Singh were also arrested.

An investigation is underway, police said.
