‘NC-Maoist partnership a must to take transitional justice to a logical end’

ROLPA: CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Barshaman Pun said Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) should meaningfully collaborate to take the protracted transitional justice to a logical conclusion.

At a press conference organized by the coalition partners in Rolpa district headquarters, Liwang, on Saturday, leader Pun said backlog of peace process would not complete without collaboration between the Nepali Congress and Maoists – the two partners of the peace process.

Former Minister Pun claimed that they were successful in forging coalition in all electoral constituencies across the country amidst uncertainty on electoral partnership. The rebel candidacy which was around 200 in numbers across the country has now reduced to 10, he further noted.

In regard to rebel candidacy in Rolpa Province Assembly-2 against official candidate of the coalition, he said, “The rebel candidate is positive to take back from his stance by realizing the spirit of election coalition”.

On the occasion, the decisions of the left-democratic coalition were also unveiled.
