Gold price rises by Rs 1,100 per tola in past one week



KATHMANDU: Price of the yellow metal has surged by Rs 1,100 per tola in the past one week in the Nepali market.

Prior to the Dashain festival, gold was being traded at Rs 93,000 per tola. However, as of Friday, the price of the fine gold was Rs 94,100 while the price of the worked gold was Rs 93,600 per tola.

A tola is equivalent to 11.66 grams.

This week, the price of gold surged by Rs 300 per tola on Sunday, Rs 800 on Monday and decreased by Rs 1,200 on Tuesday. On Wednesday, it went up by Rs 100 per tola, and decreased by Rs 100 per tola on Friday.
