Intra-Cup Volleyball tournament among 29 Nepali teams in US

OHIO, USA: A volleyball tournament of Nepali-speaking communities is being inaugurated today at Columbus city of Ohio State in America.

Teams of men and women players from nine states of USA would participate in the two-day competition to begin from October 15. Intra National Welfare and Support Foundation is organizing the tournament.

This is the biggest volleyball tournament among Nepali-speaking communities in US where 29 teams of men and women players have been participating, Dipesh Pradhan, who is coordinating the volleyball tournament on the behalf of the foundation.

Nepali-Speaking youths from New York, Maryland, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania are participating in the competition. The winner team under men’s category would get 8,500 US dollar 6,500 US dollar to runner-up team.

Similarly, winner team under women category would receive 3,500 US dollar and 2,500 US dollar to runner-up team.

Foundation President Dilli Adhikari and Representative of Ohio State, Mark Johnson would jointly inaugurate the competition.

A total of 21 team of men and eight team of women are competing in the tournament that is going to be inaugurated at 9:00 am Eastern America time and 5:00 pm Nepali time.
