Ninth National Games: Nisha sets record in the 100 meter race



POKHARA: Nisha Chaudhary of Lumbini province has set a new national record in women’s 100m race of athletics under the 9th National Games.

Chaudhary broke the previous record of 12.19 seconds. She covered the prescribed distance in 12.15 seconds.

Devimaya Paneru made the record of 12.19 seconds in the 8th South Asian Games (SAG) held in 1999.

On the first day in athletics, 100m female-male heats, 10,000m female finals, 1500m female-male finals, 400m female-male heats, shot-foot female-male heats and finals are scheduled.
