Ninth National Games: Taekwondo begins in Beni



MYAGDI: As part of the 9th  National Games , Taekwondo games have started in Beni of Myagdi.

The competition, organized by the National Sports Council (NSC), is being held at the Kalipul Coveredhall in Beni till October 19.

According to the District Sports Development Committee, 330 players from seven provinces, three departments and non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA) are participating in the games.

Karn Pradhan, the coach of the committee, informed that there will be 22 events. The competition will be for 22 each for gold and bronze medals and 44 silver medals.

Athletes from 46 to 72 kg for women and 54 to 87 kg for men are participating.

As part of the 9th National Games, the women’s volleyball competition is also undergoing in Beni since Thursday.
