Israel to hire additional 1,000 workers from Nepal



KATHMANDU: Israel is set to hire an additional 1,000 Nepali workers.

This was shared by Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Hanan Goder who called on Minister of Labor Employment and Social Security Sher Bahadur Kunwar at the latter’s office on Monday.

Ambassador Goder and Minister Kunwar discussed the labor agreement between Nepal and Israel during the meeting.

Ambassador Goder informed Minister Kunwar that the Israeli government on Sunday had finalized the hiring of 1,000 additional Nepali workers for agricultural and seasonal work.

Similarly, he also apprised the Minister that of the 9,699 Nepalis applying for helper’s role, 1,147 workers had been selected and were in the process of leaving for Israel.

On part of Minister Kunwar, he thanked the Ambassador for all kinds of assistance provided by the government of Israel to the Nepali people.

He expected the Israeli government’s continuous support to Nepali workers in various fields, including agriculture, tourism, and industry, even in the future.
