NEPSE increases by 8 points, witnesses a turnover of 1.45 billion Friday



KATHMANDU: On the last trading day of the current financial year 2022/23, the stock market index has witnessed an increase of 7.93 points on Friday.

Amid the initial ups and downs, the stock market closed flat at the end.

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by 7.93 points (0.40 percent) and closed at 2009.46 points today.

There has been an increase in the investment fund sub-index, including Development Bank, Microfinance, Life Insurance Group, which leads the market. Microfinance sub-index increased by 1.57 percent and banking sub-index by 1.38 percent.

With a similar increase in NEPSE’s two hours operation, the stock market witnessed a turnover of about one and half billion rupees.

4,051,771 shares were bought and sold, resulting in a turnover of 1.45 billion.

Among the transactions, Upper Tamokoshi Hydropower has a turnover of 197.2 million. Similarly, Everest Bank has a turnover of 69.5 million.

While the share price of Greenlife Hydropower decreased by 5.31 percent, the share price of Mountain Hydro Nepal decreased by 4.76 percent.
