Baburam’s ouster is a result of his conspiracy to split party: Upendra Yadav

BIRGUNJ: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav has defended his move to oust Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai saying he was bound to take action as he had conspired to split the party.

JSP took action against nine leaders, including Dr. Bhattarai, who is also the Chairman of the Federal Council, on Thursday.

In a press conference held this morning in Birgunj, Yadav said that Dr. Bhattarai and others were found to be conspiring to split the party and working against the party’s interests.

The conspiracy he made to split the party was against the party’s interest, Yadav said adding, “Therefore, we relieved him from his position and responsibility.”

Yadav also said that he would welcome Dr. Bhattarai if he corrected himself.

Meanwhile, Yadav also said that party leader and former minister Renu Yadav has not left the party.

“It’s her momentary anger,” Yadav said.
