Independent mayor candidate Balen Shah leading with over 1,800 votes against closest rival Sthapit

Shah 3,532 votes; Sthapit 1,856 and Singh 1,668



KATHMANDU: Balen Shah, an independent mayoral candidate for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, is leading the vote count with 3,532 votes.

CPN-UML’s mayoral candidate Keshav Sthapit is chasing Shah with 1,856 votes.

Similarly, Sirjana Singh of Nepali Congress, who represents ruling alliance, has received 1,668 votes.

Similarly, UML deputy mayoral candidate Sunita Dangol has secured 3,317 votes while Rameshwar Shrestha of the CPN-Unified Socialist is following her with 962 votes.
