Coalition candidate Renu Dahal  retains lead in Bharatpur



BHARATPUR: CPN-Maoist Center leader and mayoral candidate from the ruling coalition, Renu Dahal, has been retaining her lead in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan.

Out of the 5,677 votes counted till 4.45 pm on Sunday, Dahal has got 2006 votes.

Her rival Vijay Subedi of the CPN-UML has got 1,954 votes. Independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has got 651 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress leader and coalition candidate for the post of deputy mayor, Chitrasen Adhikari, has been increasing his lead in the post of deputy mayor. He has got 2,201 votes while his nearest rival Himala Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has got 1,571 votes.
