ITAHARI: Candidates of the ruling coalition have taken the lead in both the mayor and deputy mayor of Itahari sub-metropolis of Sunsari.
Hemkarna Poudel of Nepali Congress has received 1,842 votes while Yam Kumar Subba of UML has got 1,278 votes as of Sunday morning.
In 2074 BS, UML had won both the posts of mayor and deputy mayor in Itahari.
