Local election: KMC’s independent candidate Balen still leading



KATHMANDU: Balen Shah, an independent mayoral candidate of Kathmandu Metropolis, is still leading the vote count as of Sunday morning.

He has received 1228 votes so far.

His nearest rival Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML has so far got 871 votes.

Likewise, Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Sirjana Singh has got 699 votes so far.

Vote counting is underway.
