NC holding central election mobilization committee meeting today

To recommend electoral candidates



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of the central election mobilization committee for the upcoming local level elections today.

The meeting will be held at the central party headquarters in Sanepa at 1 pm.

According to Krishna Prasad Paudel, the chief secretary of the central party office, the meeting will recommend and select electoral candidates and dwell on how to make the candidates of the election alliance victorious.

A meeting of the central work execution committee has already decided to deploy seven deputy general secretaries to all the seven provinces to finalize the candidates for municipalities and rural municipalities.

They will try to sort out the issue of candidacies. In case they fail to do so, they will send the list of contenders to the central party office by April 22. The center will then finalize the list of candidates by April 23, it is learned.
