Influence of westerly wind: light rainfall and snowfall forecast



KATHMANDU: The sky across the nation will remain partly to generally cloudy due to the influence of westerly wind today.

Light rainfall and snowfall have also been predicted. The weather at most of the places of the country is witnessing partly to generally cloudy today while there is the possibility of light rainfall at one or two places of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is the possibility of light snowfall at a few places of high-hilly and mountainous areas.

Hilly areas of the country are likely to witness partly to generally cloudy while weather at rest of the parts of the country will be clear in the night.

Light snowfall has been forecast at a few places of high-hilly and mountainous regions, it is said.

Similarly, light rainfall is to take place at one or two places of hilly areas and light snowfall at a few places of high-hilly and mountainous region on Wednesday, added the Division.

As per the latest details of the Division, today’s minimum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley is 5.3 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is 18.0 degrees Celsius.
