PM Deuba, Prachanda and Nepal discuss MCC

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Sher Bahadur Deuba discussed the US project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) with CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The three top leaders met at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday morning and discussed moving the MCC project forward in the Parliament.

Prime Minister Deuba is in favor of tabling the MCC Compact in Wednesday’s meeting of the Parliament.

However, Prachanda and Nepal have urged PM Deuba to wait for some more time.

The three leaders also discussed the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana in the meeting.
