Indian Embassy in Kathmandu responds to India-Nepal border dispute



KATHMANDU: Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has responded to recent reports and statements on the question of the India-Nepal boundary in Nepal.

Issuing a statement Saturday, the spokesperson of the Embassy said that the Government of India’s position on India-Nepal boundary was well known, consistent and unambiguous and the same had been conveyed to the Government of Nepal.

The Indian Embassy spokesperson deemed established inter-governmental mechanisms and channels as the most appropriate platforms for communication and dialogue.

“Mutually agreed boundary issues that are outstanding can always be addressed in the spirit of our close and friendly bilateral relations.”
