Nepal sees 4,636 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 2,219 cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 4,636 new cases of coronavirus while 350 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 3,703 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 933 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 1,591 cases in Kathmandu, 142 in Bhaktapur and 486 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 2,219 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were four coronavirus-related death reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,617 till date.

There are 21,584 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Saturday.
