Tribhuvan Army Club defeats Friends Club to secure third spot in league table

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Friends Club 3-1 in the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League on Saturday.

With today’s win, Tribhuvan Army Club has occupied the third position in the league table by displacing Sankata Club.

Now, Tribhuvan Army Club is 2 points behind second place holder Manang Marsyangdi. The Army club gathered 17 points by playing 9 matches.

Sankata Club is in fourth place with 14 points and Sankata is playing with Three Star Club later today. Machhindra FC is in the top with 20 points.

Today’s defeat pushed Friends Club, who won zero matches until the ninth round, to relegation.

With four games left to go, Friends Club lies at the bottom with 3 points. As many as 14 clubs are participating in Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League.
