Alliance to continue until regression exists: Prachanda

GORKHA: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘ Prachanda’ has claimed that the left-democratic alliance would continue until regression exists.

Addressing an election assembly organised at Palungtar municipality of Gorkha on Monday, Dahal said the alliance was the major need for peace, protection of the constitution and economic revolution as the Nepali Congress and Maoist were the negotiators of the peace agreement. “The alliance will exist until peace and constitution face risk”, adding not only for five years, it might continue for 15 years,” he said.

Saying peace and constitution were possible in the country due to NC and Maoist, the CPN (Maoist Centre) chair shared that the alliance would lead the economic revolution under the leadership of Maoist and NC.

He further said, “Country’s sovereignty could have been in danger if Comprehensive Peace Accord was not signed. So the NC and Maoist together signed it.”

Chair Dahal said that there are immense potentialities to begin a campaign of economic prosperity from Gorkha, stating that modernization and commercialization of agriculture and tourism and industry could be promoted in the district.
