Election materials being supplied to remote Bhotkhola

KATHMANDU: As the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly are approaching, the election-related materials are being supplied to the remote Bhotkhola Rural Municipality in the district of Sankhuwasabha.

It takes some four to five days trek to reach Bhotkhola from the district headquarters Khandbari.

The Office of the Chief Returning Officer on Sunday deployed election officials and others for the supply of those election materials in the upper belt of the rural municipality.

Chief Returning Officer Teknath Gautam said election materials and election officers were sent to Dudhpokhari Basic School at Thudam, Himalaya Basic School at Kimathanka and Jyoti Basic School of Bhotkhola, Ridak. Ballot papers, ballot boxes, officials and security personnel have been sent to those areas.

Ten voting centres have been fixed in five wards of the rural municipality, which is mountainous and very remote area in the district.

Those officials deployed to Bhotkhola were ordered to carry needed clothes, medicines and food stuffs.
