Minister Karki assumes office



KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, who has the responsibility to look after the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs as well, assumed office today.

On the occasion, the Minister expressed his commitments to promoting and ensuring the rule of law and good governance in practice. He pledged to contribute from his respective quarter for increasing people’s access to justice and facilitating the laws formulation procedures in the parliament.

Stating that he has always respect to independent judiciary, the Minister said the incumbent government is focused on concluding the elections in a free, impartial and peaceful atmosphere.

He added that he was hopeful that the government to be formed after the November 20 voting for the House of Representatives and Province Assembly would lead the country towards the path of economic development.

Ministry Secretary Uday Raj Sapkota apprised the Minister about the ministry affairs and office’s future plans.
