Nepal sees 42 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 42 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Of the confirmed cases,  all 42 were detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,069 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

All 1,069 samples were tested through RT-PCR method.

Currently, there are 638 active cases in the country as 26 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,018 to date.
