Li’s visit: Traffic in Kathmandu to be affected even today

Vehicles urged to use alternative routes



KATHMANDU: Traffic in Kathmandu will be affected even today as visiting China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairman Li Zhanshu will be on the move for his high-level political meetings.

Li is holding high-level meetings on Wednesday as well.

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office informed that traffic in the capital will be affected throughout the day.

The Office has urged people to use alternative routes saying that traffic in various places of Kathmandu will be affected.

Li is scheduled to meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari at 3:30 PM and before that, the delegation has a program to visit Bhaktapur Durbar.

Traffic will be affected in areas including Ravi Bhavan, Soltee Hotel, Kalimati, Teku, Bhotebhal, Tripureshwar, Thapathali, Maitighar, New Baneshwar, Koteswar, Jadibuti, Lokanthali, Kaushaltar, Gathaghar, New Thimi, Radhe Radhe, Sallaghari, and District Hospital to Bhaktapur Durbar Square will be affected today morning from 9 am.

Similarly, around 3.30 pm today, traffic will be affected from Soltee Hotel, Kalimati, Teku, Tripureshwar, Nagasthan, Goshwara Post Office, Mahankal, Bhotahiti, Jamal, Kesarmahal, Lainchour, Shangrila Hotel, Panipokhari and Sheetal Niwas.

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has urged people to make their journey easier by using alternative routes during that time.
