KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Friday. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 152.80 and the selling rate at Rs 153.40.
Similarly, the buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 175.19 and the selling rate at Rs 175.88. The buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been set at Rs 204.45 and the selling rate at Rs 205.26, while the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 187.71 and the selling rate at Rs 188.45.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at Rs 106.56 and the selling rate at Rs 106.98. The buying rate of one Canadian dollar has been fixed at Rs 108.77 and the selling rate at Rs 109.20. The buying rate of one Singapore dollar has been set at Rs 118.51 and the selling rate at Rs 118.97.
Among the Gulf currencies, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.69 and the selling rate at Rs 40.85. The buying rate of one Qatari riyal has been set at Rs 41.91 and the selling rate at Rs 42.08, while the buying rate of one UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.60 and the selling rate at Rs 41.77.
The buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar, the highest-valued currency among those listed, has reached Rs 496.59 and the selling rate Rs 498.54. Similarly, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar has been fixed at Rs 405.25 and the selling rate at Rs 406.84, while the buying rate of one Omani riyal has been set at Rs 396.87 and the selling rate at Rs 398.43.
Among Asian currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.36 and the selling rate at Rs 9.40. The buying rate of one Chinese yuan has been set at Rs 22.62 and the selling rate at Rs 22.71. The buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at Rs 37.36 and the selling rate at Rs 37.51. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been set at Rs 10.64 and the selling rate at Rs 10.68.
The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates determined by commercial banks under the open market system may vary slightly from the central bank’s daily reference rates.
