KATHMANDU: Despite hectic rounds of meetings over the past one month, the ruling five-party alliance failed to finalize the allocation of seats for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives.

Failing to narrow down the differences on the issue of allocation of seats, the coalition parties have agreed to finalize the issue only after the parties would prepare the list of Proportional Representatives for the election.

The Election Commission has fixed the date of submission of the closed list of candidates for the proportional election system by September 18.

The leaders have decided to hold another round of talks on September 19 as all the parties will be engaged in finalizing the PR list.
