Nepal sees 455 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 455 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases, 305 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 150 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,165 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,308 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,521 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,435 active cases in the country as 302 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,988 to date.
