Ambulance service operated in remote villages in Rasuwa

RASUWA: People living in remote villages in Rasuwa can now avail of ambulance service.

Out of the two ambulances donated by the Government of India, one will be used by the Jibjibe Rural Hospital in the southern belt of the district and the remaining one by the Gosainkunda rural municipality, Syaphrubesi in the northern belt of the district, the District Health Office said.

With the availability of the ambulance service it will now be easier to take emergency cases to the District Hospital and to other places for advanced treatment.

Gosainkunda Rural Municipality chairperson Kaisang Nurpu Tamang believes that the ambulance service will contribute to making the health service effective.

“We will be able to provide ambulance service in six wards of Gosainkunda rural municipality as well as in Aama Chhodingmo Rural Municipality,” he said.

The ambulance provided to the Jibjibe-based rural hospital will be operated under the hospital’s care, said Hari Krishna Devkota, Chairperson of Kalika Rural Municipality.

He said people of the nearby Nuwakot district will also be benefited from the ambulance service.

In addition to the Gosainkunda and Kalika rural municipalities, Uttargaya Rural Municipality too is operating ambulance service at present.
