KATHMANDU: Loyalty Academy conducted a district level inter-school poetry recitation competition on the occasion of 209th Bhanu Jayanti.
Held among 22 secondary schools based in Kathmandu, contestants recited their poems in the competition.
Chaired by Bijaya Sambahamphe, the founder chairman of the academy, senior poet and litterateur Devi Ghimire, poet duo Dasharath Bhattarai and Rejina Apagain were the panel of judges.
Samriddhi Pokharel, the student of Valley View School, Baneshwor, bagged the first prize.
Similarly, Deep Shikha Mukhiya of Gyandeep Shiksha Sadan clinched the second prize while the third prizes were given away to Srishti Kulung of Reliance Academy, Antara Ghimire of Ambition Academy and Utsav Dhungana of Nepal Bed Bidyashram.
