Three South Africans held with 24 kg white heroin



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three South African nationals with 24 kilograms of white heroin.

Acting on a tip-off, the Bureau of Narcotics Drugs Control seized 24 kg of white heroin from Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday and Monday.

According to the police, 16 kg of heroin was recovered on Sunday and eight kg on Monday.  South African nationals Muriel Nsamba and Than Deki were arrested with 16 kg of heroin on Sunday,. They both came to Nepal via Dubai Airport.

Similarly, Khanisili Thavoni Tshabalala, a South African national, was arrested on Monday afternoon with eight kilograms of heroin.

According to the police, the seized heroin priced at around Rs 500 million.
