NC candidate Karki  elected chairperson in Ganyapadhura of Dadeldhura



DADELDHURA: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Indra Bahadur Karki has been elected as the chairman of Ganyapadhura rural municipality, the home municipality of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Karki got 3,384 votes while his nearest rival Surendra Mali of Nepali Congress BP got 1,604 votes.

Similarly, NC candidate Gyan Kumari Seti has been elected as the Vice Chairman. She received 3,013 votes. Her nearest rival Indra Mahara of the CPN-UML got 1,703 votes. Prime Minister Deuba had cast his vote from Ganyapadhura-1, Ruwakhola.

According to Chief Electoral Officer of Dadeldhura, Hari Prasad Sharma, the NC has won in seven wards while the CPN-UML has won in one ward, the CPN-Maoist Center in one ward and the Nepali Congress in BP in one ward.
