Kathmandu metro updates: Balen Shah gets 402 votes, Keshav Sthapit 319, Sirjana Singh 202



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes for the new mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City is underway.

Independent candidate Balen Shah is leading even as 1,180 votes have been counted.

Shah has gathered 402 votes out of total 1,180 votes counted.

Similarly, CPN-UML’s Keshav Sthapit is behind with 319 votes and Nepali Congress candidate Srijana Singh, who is common candidate of the coalition, has secured 202 votes, according to the details given by the Assistant Election Officer Prem Prasad Poudel till 6:30 pm Saturday.
