Counting of votes begins in Birgunj metropolis



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes of Birgunj Metropolitan City has started.

Chief Election Officer Dharmaraj Poudel said the counting of votes has started from 3:15 pm on Saturday at the building of Nrising Secondary School at Birgunj-14.

Though an all-party meeting decided to start vote count from 11 am on Saturday, the counting of votes was delayed due to late arrival of representatives of political parties.

In the election held on Friday, 75.24 percent or 93,782 votes have been cast.
