UML’s Ghale wins in Nesyang rural municipality



CHAME: Kanchha Ghale of CPN (UML) has been elected to the post of chairperson of Nesyang rural municipality in Manang district. He got 861 votes.

His closest rival, Tshiring Ongma Gurung of the Nepali Congress received 719 votes.

Similarly, an independent candidate Tshiring Dhawa Gurung was elected to the post of vice-chair of the rural municipality by receiving 744 votes. His closest rival Rinjen Dhorje of the Nepali Congress gained 719 votes.

Out of 3,535 voters in the Nesyang rural municipalities, only 1,657 votes or 46.87 per cent were cast.

Total voters turnout in Manang district was 62.60 per cent. Out of 6,496 voters in the district, only 4,077 votes were cast, according to Chief Election Officer, Punaram Khanal.
